Cetrorelix acetate is a synthetic decapeptide mainly used in assisted reproductive technology to prevent premature ovulation in patients with controlled ovarian stimulation. Sitrac is a gonadotropin releasing chemobook hormone (GnRH) antagonist, which can competitively bind to receptors on pituitary cell membrane with endogenous LHRH, thus inhibiting pituitary secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) in a dose-dependent manner.
